First Session Sold OUT
New session forming Wednesday September 25!
As much as we would like to think that our parenting responsibilities end the moment our child graduates high school, the truth is that an entirely new set of challenges emerges in the parent/child relationship. Back by popular demand, this workshop/support group is specifically designed for parents with kids between the ages of 18 and 25, whether at home or in college. Like Julie Ross's other popular parenting classes, this will extensively cover a set of topics parents have been asking for, but also leave plenty of time for sharing and group discussion. Some of the topics discussed are...
- How to communicate with your young adult.
- How to handle your changing role.
- How to pay attention to their mental health
- How to handle the different dynamic when your kid comes home for breaks or summer
- How to talk about and handle drug and alcohol use.
- How to talk about and handle their stress.
- How to talk about gender and sexuality.
- How to discuss grades.
Sessions are held in midtown Manhattan at 405 W. 57th Street. The group will meet from 6 - 8 pm once a month for the entire school year on the following Wednesday evenings:
The cost of the group is only $800 per person for the entire year. Registration is now open but call soon as space is limited. For more information about the class or on how to register, please contact us at 212-765-2377 and leave your name and email address or send us an email at Julie.Ross@ParentingHorizons.com.
