Parenting for the College Years

Register now! Group begins Thursday, September 15

As much as we would like to think that our parenting responsibilities end the moment our child moves into their freshman dorm, the truth is that an entirely new set of challenges emerges in the parent/child relationship. By popular demand, Julie Ross will be starting a workshop/support group specifically designed for parents whose kids are currently attending college. Like Julie Ross's other popular parenting groups, this will be primarily a discussion based group, with participants bringing in specific issues for sharing. Some of the topics may include:

  • Financial responsibility
  • Sexuality
  • Drinking and drugs
  • Grades
  • Setting reasonable expectations
  • Tips and Techniques to keep the lines of communication open

The group will meet from 6 - 8 pm once a month for the entire school year on the following dates: Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Jan. 5, Feb 16, Mar 2, Apr 27, May 11.

The cost of the group is only $800 per person for the entire year. Registration is now open but call soon as space is limited. For more information on how to register, please contact us at 212-765-2377 and leave your name and email address or send us an email at
